Sean Hill

I have been designing and making my own jewelry since 1998. I am an entirely self-taught jeweler. My background was mostly scholarly. I taught and published on Critical Theories for more than 20 years as a PhD Professor. For years, I worked mostly on a silver and gem resin collection. I recently added an extensive ones collection and a new line of gold and Ceramic jewelry. My scholarly background may have helped me create and think of my designs in a more complex and somewhat "philosophical" way. I would describe my personal style as "neo-classical". I love abstraction but when it comes to designs, I lean towards a more "discreet" expression, looking mostly for simplicity, movement and classical beauty.
