Long ago, I fell in love with the ancient clay arts. I would love to go on a dig to see the work up close and to touch the dirt and smell all of the smells of the earth…but for now, books will do. My work depicts my imagination and spiritual connection to ancient people. I use low fire clay and lowfire underglazes. I throw my clay on a wheel and hand build as well. Pit firing brings exciting colors and a spirit to the clay. Working with clay brings me close to the earth and I like that. It is my lifelong work.
