Rick Reinert

Reinert is originally from Northern Indiana and began drawing and painting at a young age. He formally studied drawing and painting at Western Kentucky University and while in the US Army, graduated from the University of the State of New York at Albany. "Oil paint suits my needs for my work and technique, like no other medium because I tend to rework from day to day. Recently, I have used various glazing and paint thicknesses to achieve the emotion I wish to convey. "It is important for me that you will know my work from a distance, that it is unique and like no other. Every bit of nature visually tells us its own story if we ask for it. Walk out the door, look up, look down, side to side there is inherent beauty in every gaze. I attempt to convey the sunlight that moves me, that breathtaking moment that you may or may not have seen but know could have been. "Nature provides me with the ultimate reference library and studying the subtlety of changes in sunlight challenges me to keep growing as an artist."
