Patrick Dragon

Some painters stretch their canvas before painting. Patrick Dragon stretches his Clay on the potters wheel, and the vessel becomes his canvas. Patrick, with over udio potter and teacher, has developed his technique of painting with Clay on Clay. Each piece is then fired in the kiln at least three times building up layers to achieve the colors and textures. His ability to capture realism with abstraction allows the viewer to create a story, a story that has given his ceramics a place in national and international collections including the First American White House collection of American Crafts.
