Line, Form, Texture, Color, Composition, and Emotion. Every work of art, whether Abstract, Realistic, Impressionistic or any other label chosen to describe a specific piece, contains at least three of the six elements. How well the artist comprehends these elements, along with his or her natural ability and sensitivity to their surroundings, determines the artist’s appeal to the serious collector. How well the artist interprets the breakup of space is what seperates the average from the exceptional. The ability and sincerity of the artist’s work validates its immortality; the thought that the work remains eternal is my motivating factor. Michael studied privately with realist Donald S. Boncela, graduate and instructor at Cleveland Institute of Art, and Henry Henchie, Master of Charles Hawthorne School of Impressionism in Provincetown, Massachusetts. He also attended Ohio State University, 1973-1974 and the Cleveland Institute of Art 1978-1981.
