Kimberly Willcox

Kimberly Willcox puts a contemporary spin on primitive forms. Her sculptures have been described as soulful, whimsical, primitive and kinetically alive. "My aesthetic decisions are based on intuition and driven by my obsession to constantly make and create art. My work has never been constrained to a single medium, as I prefer to work with a range of materials and techniques. I love to discover the unexpected and to leave room for spontaneity." A self-taught artist, Willcox has worked full time as a studio artist since 1987. Her design work includes the highly successful "Free Expressions" line of hand crafted jewelry and the "Tickle Your Soul by Kimberly Willcox™ for Silvestri" home accessories and gifts. Her artwork is in the collections of Steven Tyler, Paul Simon, Alexander Julian, and Marriott Hotels. Free Expressions objects appeared on the White House Christmas tree during the first Clinton Administration. Willcox also completed commissions for HGTV, India Ministry for the Promotion of Handcrafts, Cirque du Soleil, Sony, Woody Allen's New York Stories, and ABC's series thirtysomething. Willcox's signature mix of found objects and diverse techniques has earned worldwide recognition .
