Jon Nate Cotterman

Jon was first introduced to glass in 2003, under the instruction of glass artist Brent Kee Young. He received his BFA in Glass from the Cleveland Institute of Art, and spent the last two summers at Penland, NC. Jon’s work takes inspiration from process, precision, and technical tradition. Through logical thinking Jon looks into everyday life creating a clever juxtaposition of functionally inspired objects. Each piece brings together history, culture, and modern design to create aesthetically pleasing sculptural objects. Jon is currently making work in Cleveland, Ohio where he is continuing his studies of glass, as well as, 14 working for several studio artists.
