Born in Güines, Havana, Cuba, Hernan is a self-taught landscape artist with humble beginnings in the countryside. Surrounded by unique and exotic landscapes, he discovered early that painting would be his life long passion. The landscape of his hometown is the motive and model behind his works. He later travelled to Miami, where he now resides. In these surroundings, his landscapes have become memories of his mother country.
