It was love at first sight. I was handed a piece of paper, some pigments, and brushes, and all she said was, "...why don't you give it a try?" She was Carmen my future wife. Forty years later, I continue to explore the medium, learning all the time, following what every brush stroke tells me and understanding the process of layering colors. Now, all these simple techniques help me to communicate my reactions and place those moments on paper.
