Edson Campos

My work is an homage to the Old Masters, with attention to detail and composition. I am a self-taught artist, developing my Art since childhood in Brazil. I continue to be inspired by great works of Art. My work tells you a new story, a contemporary one. I have exhibited nationally and internationally, and this year l am commemorating 45 years of Art in the USA.

Sensuality, attention to details and technique is my intention and classical beauty my inspiration. “Beauty is essential to the well being of the Soul.” Edson was awarded a Bronze Medal at the historic French Salon in Paris, France at the Grand Palais, 2009 for his work; and in 2012, he was awarded the prestigious Gold Medal at the Salon D’Autumn in Coubron, France.

Born in Rio de Janeiro, Edson has enjoyed sketching and painting since childhood and is a completely self-taught artist. Moving to the U.S. in 1978, he quickly established himself as an artist of the highest caliber. His lifelike paintings and drawings have been exhibited in major cities throughout the country, winning many awards and much recognition. He has participated in the acclaimed Art Expo New York, where his work was highly praised. Edson’s artwork has been commissioned to grace the walls of all 500 rooms in the Queen Mary Hotel in Long Beach, CA. Recently Edson was also granted permission to create a series of artwork based on Disney’s Princesses.
