Don Dewitt

Created by book cover designer Don Dewitt, this year’s poster celebrates the vintage fruit crate labels used by Central Florida citrus farms during the 30’s, 40’s, and 50’s. It is also Dewitt’s nod to Winter Park’s Saturday Farmers’ Market located in the old train depot on New England Avenue where fresh fruit, vegetables, plants, and handmade treats have been available for nearly 40 years. Don DeWitt is a Central Florida native. Born at Winter Park Hospital, and a graduate of Bishop Moore High School, Dewitt majored in Fine Art and Graphic Design at Flagler College in St. Augustine before returning to Orlando to begin a 20-year career working in schoolbook publishing. Don’s book cover designs have been recognized with awards from both the New York Book Show and the New England Book Show.
