Dick Cunningham

Dick' s photographs capture the incredible beauty and diversity of this great nation by careful use of light, color and composition, not digital manipulation. From the swamps of Florida to the mountains of Alaska, to the wilds of Africa, Dick has been photographing the natural beauty and wildlife of the United States for the last 40 years. Dick's training in art and photography began at an early age. His mother was an accomplished artist and his father was a studio photographer. In high school and after graduating college from Rochester Institute of Technology, having received Associate and Bachelor of Science degrees in Professional Photography in 1971, Dick worked in the family photofinishing business in Danville, Ill. In 1978 he moved to Breckenridge, with his wife Mary, and opened Cunningham Gallery. Dick has exhibited his work throughout the country in fine art shows, started and promoted three annual art shows, owned a gallery with his brother and recently opened a new gallery of his work in Bonita Springs.
