Charles Paul Savoie

My work is an investigation of both technique and expression. I work within two distinct and different bodies of pieces; the goblets, and the bronze and glass sculptural vessels. Within the context of the goblets I use a very labor intensive 17th century venetian technique to develop the colored patterns and textures. I very much create an elegant object who’s roots are ancient but have a refined contemporary feel. The bronze and glass pieces are very expressive. They are both exotic and mysterious. I strive to create a truly evocative object.
