I create my drawings using light and shadow combined with negative space to produce high contrast results. My drawings are the end result of my own thoughts and ideas that I transfer to paper through the use of a black drawing pencil and ink on Bristol board. I am the sole creator of these works and use only the highest quality materials to produce each piece. I am continually cultivating my techniques to create new and distinct results with my images. I have pursued drawing as a full-time career for over 18 years. A native of Mississippi, with a BA in History from Mississippi State, I began my art business a few years after moving to Pensacola, Florida in 1984.

The human figure is beautiful, sometimes not perfect. I view the body as a topography…every figure is a whole geography to be explored thru drawing. Light and shadow are my primary attraction, molding the figure or view from the shadow pools falling across; using the bright light areas to form the balancing image.
