Bashar & Roula Jarjour

We are Bashar and Roula Jarjour and together we are Jarjour Pottery. We were both born and raised in Syria and moved to Lebanon after getting married. War broke out and we left everything behind for the unknown, an adventure to move our small family to the United States in 1990. That same spirit of discovery has deeply shaped our work. We bring the influences of our cultures, our memories of the past and hopes for the future into every form and object we explore. Throughout the last decade we have challenged ourselves to experiment and explore different ceramic focuses; our personal journey has helped us evolve in our creativity and we are grateful for it. Our current favorite is our sgraffito pieces. They are a beautiful blend of monochromatic carvings and unique abstract formations. We also are loving wall installations and the flexibility they afford a prospective owner. Our goal is to give anyone who appreciates our art the opportunity to take home a piece that speaks to them and that fits within their home style.
