 To share brings intimacy. Not to share brings lonliness.

David: I haven’t shared anything worthy of intimacy with you for years. And, I have been lonely.

As I was thinking about this today a memory came to mind…one worthy of sharing.

Mr. Gaboury had died. I went to see him earlier in the day…he hadn’t wanted visitors…I went anyway. He was very ill and in a whisper he simply said to me…“Go away.” And I did; stunned and sad. Later that day he died. I came home and told you about it…all the details…we were lying in bed and you simply held me while I cried. You didn’t tell me what I should or shouldn’t have done; you didn’t try to explain away Mr. Gaboury’s words…you just held me and let me move through my emotion. You were tender with me and I felt close to you…safe.

Well…it’s late and my eyes are closing.

Tomorrow is a full day. Sue is leaving. Work day is busy. Ellen and I will be going to Band Orientation at WPHS in the evening…so I most likely won’t post again until Friday night or the weekend.
