Chick Two

The second chick has hatched. Mom isn’t particularly happy. The only assistance I gave was to enlarge the initial crack in the egg shell. I did that because the chick was screaming inside. A screaming chick in the shell is not a good sign. Enlarging a breathing hole would give the chick oxygen while it finished the job. I’ve got to go feed them now.

D: Only found 3 solid white lids above the fridge in the bird room…will bring one of those…you’ll have to drill it. J

David: Yes, I’ll drop off a cage w/tray and lid at your Dad’s office on my way in this morning. Jen
PS: Too bad about they youngest chick…hope it hangs in there.

Jen: Another thing I would like is the white lid with holes for the tall 3 quart container. David

  4. David says:

Jen: Can you take a cage to the office tomorrow. The older birds are ready to fledge and jumping on the younger ones. I think I’m losing the youngest. David
