Tomorrow
Posted on Sunday, August 30th, 2009 at 10:06 pmHi David:
Birds: Fruit is cut. Dishes clean. Trays were changed Friday night. One of the birds in flight #1 likes to hop on the bowl as soon as you open the feed door and does try to poke it’s head out. Pookie will go on the back porch and hang out while you get food ready…she heads to the corner behind the door…the birds are getting used to her being there.
Robocoup: Needs attention. Blade is dulling (I did sharpen it with the grinder once) and the screw that holds the dicer/blade assembly together has come out…small things that make a big difference.
Yard: Half done. I’ll be able to work on it more Monday night. You’ll notice the Cypress chips in the back area just off the porch…thought it would look nicer…not crazy about it…still should help keep the weeds from going wild in that area.
George’s Air: A new air handler was installed…the intake has been changed to an easy open vent with the filter right behind it…check it out if you like. I will make an entry with the whole story in the next day or two.
So, what are you catching in the lake?
Jen
David: Ok..washing dishes, cutting fruit, putting fruit away, changing trays, etc…will all be appreciated. I will continue to feed the birds each day. Jen
Jen:
You’ve asked me to explain why I didn’t tell you sooner than I did that I wouldn’t be able to feed the birds on Mondays.
Looking through the blog I see that I did say last week I could work with the 8 to 1, Monday thru Friday access you offered. And I see that was my response to your offer of access and your request I use that time to feed the birds. The next time the birds are mentionned is your Tomorrow post at ten o’clock last night. I got back to you as soon as I read the post an hour later – it was then at eleven o’clock last night that I realizied I couldn’t do what you expected me to do.
I would still like access on Mondays. I just can’t commit to feeding the birds. I can wash dishes, put away the fruit – things that don’t require a commitment like feeding the birds.
David
Robocoup. The blade can be removed to be sharpened. When I was last there. I removed it and replaced it with the blade from the broken blade disk. Remember – all that stuff is really supposed to be cleaned in cold water.
David:
I’ll feed the birds today. Why didn’t you tell me you wouldn’t be able to feed them on Mondays when you agreed to the arrangement? It just would have helped me to know this sooner.
Air Handler: Yes, I did make the decision to replace the air handler unilaterally and I have been living with the decision since. I realize I left you out of it and living with that is forcing me to take an honest look at my Action, Intent, Belief. I’ll use the BIP homework form to work it through.
Jen
Jen: Why did you decide to replace the air handler? I didn’t agree to doing that.
You can feed the birds on Mondays. Mondays I have BIP. There’s really only enough time for me to get fruit and drop it off before I have to be there. And it never ends before eleven thirty. So, there’s never more than an hour in the afternoon. And this week is double session – there’s no time at all.
You know, No Abuse says I have to live with your timing, your decisions. So do you. When you make a decision that’s too slow, or too fast, you have to live with that. When you make a decision unilaterally, and as a result neglect me, reject me, and marginalize me, you have to live with that.
