wow!

Wow! There are some great books out there Ellen Foley. I googled “obedience to the law is not voluntary” and up popped a book called Southern Slavery and the Law. So, I read a few pages that began with “The burning of malefactors …” Yikes! It talked about judicial opinions issued in the courts of the colonial and post-revolutionary south. What judges said about black men and women. How the law from 1619 to 1860 bit by bit made slaves into human beings. It was thrilling. Really. In an excruciatingly bookish way.

Arthur, remember, was the law. He said “Do it”, then ‘it’ is what you did. So, you can not have a fascination with the ‘royal’ without also finding yourself staring into the bright lights of the law.

Have you read anything about Bog Men? Google that. They’re from the days of Druids and superstitous justice. Creepy.

Dad.

So Hum

Here’s a meditation exercise that’s easy. Inhale through ‘so’. Exhale through ‘hum’. It’s sixteen minutes. Just get comfortable and breath through your nose.
