Neko:

You’ll want to do a little reading to learn more about the archery ‘of old’ for that ‘paper’ you’re going to write me on the history of bows and arrows, right? So, you’ll need a handy desktop software that can keep track of ALL the books you’ll be checking out at the library, a software that can alert you to books coming due, a software that can save you from the horror of late fees. Here it is – Library Books! Go for it!

Oh. Yes. I did order the strings for your bow and Mattie’s, I mean, if her mother permits the use of such things. And if not, you do need to remember that your training as a skater gave you physical courage that other people don’t see in you until you do something they wouldn’t dare do. You have that courage they talk about in that show you’re watching – Merlin. It’s better understood as ‘physical courage’. You’ll swim to the second breaker. Before you, I never did that. Honest. You got something special. You can teach people about it if you’re patient with them and understand it takes time for them. You were young – you probably took it for granted that all six year olds splattered themsleves on a hard wood floor at least two dozen times a day. So, that ‘physical’ issue is way behind you. Anyway, I’ve two bows and two strings coming. AND I’ve learned that stock arrows start at 32 inches and are cut down from there.

Jen: July 21st my dad cut out a cartoon from the newspaper. It was a goof on anger management classes. A student in the class asks “How’d you stop being angry at idiots” The instructor answers “I created a school so they’d give me money while I insulted them” It sits loose on my dresser. Today I was straightening the dresser and looked at the story on the back of the cartoon. It was an obituary – for Pat Butler, Pollo Loco, WP Art Fest, Pat Butler. Any day could be the last one you leave your loved ones. David
