Credit Card Charge Approval
Posted on Sunday, July 19th, 2009 at 9:15 amDavid: There were 3 identical charges on the Visa for $19.95 (professional services) on Saturday, July 11. VISA is asking that these charges be approved. Just wanted to check with you first. Are these three ok to process? Jen
SCHOOL: Jen, you haven’t asked but I’ll tell you my story. I find that Ellen is a great self-teacher. It’s always been fun for me to sit with her and work through an assignment step-by-step. But it has rarely been necessary, particularly during the last couple of years. Of course, if I say, “Wait til I can sit with you before you get started on that”, then she will definitely put it off – more time to play online. But as time was always precious, I often had to forego the pleasure of working with her, and instead satisfied myself by giving her very clear directions about what she needed to do. So, Ellen, I know, will enjoy teaching you Algebra, but after reviewing the summer math assignment myself, I’m sure the directions are clear enough for her to follow. The biggest problem Ellen will have is the sheer quanity of problems in the assignment – you’ll have to let her do most alone.
BENYDRYL: I take it to sleep. It helps alot. I don’t get up through the night. I have few sinking spells through the day. I’ve tried to let you know about this here on the blog.
NEST LOG: I did do one. Then the saw needed a rest. The new log is in flight six. Unfortunately, I didn’t clean up the mess on the carport.
EGGS: There are, indeed, three good eggs in flight one. This pair needs crickets right away. I think some should be bought tomorrow from Pet Bazaar and put in the flight ASAP. And I think some should be ordered from the cricket guy. And crickets means it will be necessary to check for active ant hills.
LAWN: I did spray alot of Round-Up. I hope there wasn’t anything in that walkway bed you weeded. I hit that, under the flights, around the pool, under and around the shed, around the truck, the drive at the duplex, the fence line, around the bamboo and bananas. I also hit that thorny plant coming up around the ligustrum. And, of course, I left the sprayer in the bird sink.
PEN PAD: If the bluetooth connection fails on the Pen Pad, then turn it over and press the small black button on the back. After pressing that button, a light on the front of the pad will blink for three minutes while the pad trys to find the computer. There is a connection problem for the keyboard also. I would suggest changing the batteries. Even store bought non-rechargeable ones. Otherwise, I don’t know.
GASOLINE: Filled the five gallon container.
POOKIE: She really has a way of saying “Feed Me!”
WASHER: It may smell like gasoline. I got gasoline on some work clothes are ran them through the wash several times without alot of improvement. If the machine smells bad, maybe running it empty would help.
HAMBURGER: Nice thought. But I got quite a stomach ache after eating one so I didn’t eat the other. The burger may be fine. I don’t know. I had also eaten some strawberries from the freezer. And I’d had some apple juice.
SUNDAY: I really spent today on BIP. I re-did my form to correct some ommissions and to make it look nicer. Then, of course, I had to do the home work.
DOORS: I could make doors for the duplex with the Leigh Mortisse and Tenon Jig. They would look like the shed door but tenon joints instead of lap joints they would last along time. I am thinking about doing it that way.
LOVE: I usually don’t feel like someone is saying “I love you” while they contradict something I’ve said. I usually feel like I am being contradicted when I am being contradicted.
BEDTIME: Now it is well passed.
I do. Thanks to and for your direction. You? I just went to the bathroom and noticed a lot of Allergy pill little holders in the trash…did allergies get in the way of your work? I also noticed you worked on some new nest logs…how did work on the flights progress? What about the eggs in Flight #1? Do they look fertile? J
Well, I hope you feel better.
David: Thanks for all the links right here. As I said in an earlier post…Ellen and I would be reviewing the WPH site this weekend and we did. Ellen and I reviewed the links, the clubs and the WPH website in general this afternoon. We also printed out her discussion questions for Fahrenhiet 451 of which she has already started to answer. Too, I downloaded many of the IB info pdfs. Overlooked you are not. Jen
That’s perfect. Ellen and Juliette like to do stuff together. Games and stuff. That’s greeeat. And you like to save money. That’s greeeat. And I, I like pretending I matter. So, well, hey, then I think I’ve found a cool way for them to have fun, you to save money, and for me to be an easy going over looked dad. Send Ellen and Juliette here.
D: Mystery solved. It was a charge I was trying to make online for an upgrade to Adventure Quest for Ellen…she plays online…with Juliette sometimes…the “extra” levels are for three months. The “Click and Pay” company (similar to PayPal) denied the card…I didn’t recognize the charges described as Professional Services. The VISA will not be charged. J
ok…that’s what I needed to know. I’ll look into it now and let you know what I find out. J
No idea what you’re talking about. I’ve put nothing on the card recently for that amount, or with that frequency.
