Weekend

Hi David:

Just a few things this time:

1. Yard: There is a little grass to be cut. Ellen and I mowed last night – here and at the duplex. Then the Snapper didn’t want to start up…I had just added more gas (may be water in it?), let it sit…tried it, but nothing. I needed to shift to work on the birds. So, there are small patches along the strip and the front of both Danny and George’s still needs to be mowed. I am sorry about this…I checked the spark plug and went out again for one last try after starting the bird tasks – still didn’t want to start….if it starts right up for you, then great, if not, we’ll use the big mower next week, when the ground isn’t so soft in these areas.

2. Birds: All tray liners were changed last night and I gave the birds water. Fruit is cut.

3. Pookie Says: Please remember to feed me! Fresh water and a top off of food each morning (I usually do it right after I feed the birds so I remember myself). Litter box scooped out into the plastic bags, then trashed.

Extras: Bed sheets were washed Tuesday night…there are a few hamburgers in the freezer for you…milk and coffee  in the cupboards.

Good luck with the flights this weekend…hope you have great weather and accomplish all that you want to.

Jen

9:16 pm – still here…working on the homework assignments you gave me. You, you still there?

  2. David says:

No. Wait. My desk clock is way off. It’s only 8:47. Are you still there?

  3. David says:

Hey. It’s 8:58. You posted at 8:42. Are you still there?

All the blades were replaced last week. The part that is on its way is a height adjuster.

Thanks…that will be great. I was worried about the ground being too soft on Danny’s side as the ZT mower got stuck there before. Too, I’m also stuck when it comes to the ZT mower…in an effort to get unstuck, I’ll ask Ellen to give me another lesson on it and practice (by actually cutting the grass) so I get comfortable using it. Sounds like the replacement blade is on it’s way…will start my lessons after I install it. Thanks for taking care of the uncut grass. How is work going on the flights?

Snapper: I’ll take it with me. It did start. Then it stopped. Then it started. Then it stopped. My primer trick didn’t work. So, I’ll take a closer look at it.

ZT: The cut-height adjustment is severely bent. As a result the cut-height is stuck a bit low. I ordered a replacement part for $70. It will not be easy to install. But it will be easy to bend again. You’ll see it, a large, long, crooked screw with nob, to your right and back as you sit on the mower.
With the ZT I did all the mowing that was essential. When used with care it is a very versatile mower.
