A Passage

I’d like to share with you a passage that came under the subtitle:
The Power of Joy
A Brief Summary
Life brings each of us inescapable traumas that block maturity. God’s redemptive activity comes to us in two ways. He brings healing to our traumas, and adopts us into His family. Both ways boost us through our blocks to maturity, along the way to wholeness. With these boosts, we will be able to live from the hearts He gave us, our true identities will emerge, and our relationships with family and community will be characterized by joy.
Sometimes it is necessary to promote stronger relationships in a family and community before trauma recovery can proceed, and sometimes trauma recovery needs to take place before strong relationships can be established. Sometimes there needs to be more maturity before trauma recovery work can be effective, but other times we find that some trauma resolution needs to be achieved before maturity can get unstuck. There is no formula. When something is going wrong, assess maturity, trauma recovery, dividedness, family and community support, and spiritual vitality – and pray that the Lord will provide redemption wherever a deficit is found.
This passage spoke to me and my own personal traumas and while I would like to share more with you about that…right now, I just want to have the words live in me…and, share them with you.
