Place To Be

Posted on Thursday, July 9th, 2009 at 9:33 pm

Without any idea what is going on in your lives, I thought, as I prepare to return home for a day, that I’d post this little ditty to lighten a hungarian heart or two.

You can leave a response, or trackback from your own site.

You’re on the main computer and it’s logging you in as me because it has remembered that I logged in while there yesterday. Look above and you’ll see what I’m talking about. Both your earlier posts say David says.

Anyway, I’m here now. Heating mash for the chicks. Drinking something sweet after several hours in the sun sweeping, and raking, and clipping, and bundling, and pressure washing around Mom’s building on Corrine.

Ellen could paint the back wall. That paint gun is easy and fast. And it is quite a canvas … There’s a greeting card designer that rents the middle unit on Corrine. The two of you should look in the window after spending a few bucks across the street at Rainbow Snow Cones.

Kryptonite…hmmm…do you think its buried in the backyard! Since we’ll be going to the moon next weekend, I’ll be on the lookout for a counter-kryptonite mineral compound…sounds like we can both use it! Actually, we’ll be staying at my parent’s house…I am anticipating Dad will still be in the hospital – hopefully in in-patient rehab by then. Sue is here through the end of July and I want to spend some time with her. Marie and family are going to be in Cocoa Beach next weekend and invited us over for the day…we may do that on Sunday.

Focusing on the cages sounds like a plan…I’ll have fruit cut and the cages cleaned (thanks for cutting all the cage liner paper)…also, as long as I don’t get rained out, I plan to cut the grass before Friday.

I just sent an email to Mike Morris with a cc to Vivian regarding you having access to the house from Friday at 9 am through Sunday at 6 pm this coming weekend.

Hope the weather will be good. Good luck with the flights.

    Jen

Regarding the weekend. Before you go to where ever it is you intend to go, could you first be sure to remove from the house every trace of kryptonite. I’m pretty sure that is what wears me out when I go over there. I’ve talked to Mary Jane Natishyn about it, and she agree, I behave like a super-man. super-goofy

OK. Yes. I would like to spend next weekend there. I’d like to spend it focused on the cages.
Yes. I did fold clothes. I forgot about that. Wouldn’t it be sort of like an anti-depressant to trash some of Ellen’s blood stained undies and t’s and get new ones.

Thanks for the update on the eggs…flight numbering and the Snapper! Ellen found the Strawberries! Glad you liked the T-shirt. 🙂

I’ll respond to some of your recent posts, comments by the end of the weekend. Thought I’d have a little more energy after my 4th of July post…but I am pettering out.

Tomorrow Elle and I are going out to IKEA to take a look around…then to the wellness center…a stop to see my Dad (he was moved to the Progressive Care Unit at Lucerne Pavilion late last night…still improving…still on 02 and still little mobility…he does have an Internist now who will oversee his care – in and out of the hospital – and attention from a good group of nurses and Physical Therapists…still weak and recovering from the pnemonia. Next week should be a little more revealing as to his condition)…then Ellen and I are going to spend the rest of the day and night with Sue and my Mom.

I appreciate that you folded the clothes…thanks.

Did you want to spend next weekend here (17, 18, 19)? Let me know so I can send an email to Michael Morris and make arrangements.

    Good night. Jen

I worked it out. Mainly. So, I don’t need to come back Monday

Let me tell you what I did.

First, let me try to communicate a numbering system for the flights. All flights facing the house are odd numbered. Beginning with the flight nearest the shed and pool as flight one, its neighbor is flight three, across the ten foot space is flight five, and its neighbor is flight seven. On the back beginning with the Green in flight two, its neighbor is flight four, and across the ten foot space is flight six, and its neighbor is flight eight.

So, I got three eggs from flight three. They look clear. But as there was only one there Sunday, they may just be young. The real news is that there are three eggs in flight one. I did not pull them. I will next Friday. That’s what I’m thinking.

One of the eggs I pulled cracked. I’ve put nail polish on it. But I don’t think I did the right thing.

I took the Bank of America folder and the Quicken VISA folder. I need the paper statements in order to fill some gaps in Quicken.

    THANKS for the T-SHIRT.

    Left some frozen strawberries.

Would’ve left more windows open had I known the temperture was dropping. Nice night.

The Snapper should start. It did for me. If the top comes off again, then the bolts will require LockTight. Now, they have lock-washers. They were recommended over LockTight by the Snapper guy in Maitland. To start, the mower needs to be primed with the rubber button on the front, of course, but what I did when it started and then stopped was to prime it, pull it, start it, and then pump that primer button like crazy to keep the gas flowing until it ran on its own. The carburetor just is acting up.

Well, I’ve been invited to play SCRABBLE.

    Later.

Waiting for my clothes to dry. Got caught in the thunderstorm. Was in the middle of putting the third blade on the ZT. Couldn’t stop. So, my clothes are soaked. My shoes are soaked. Waiting for the chicks’ mash to cool, too. Little worried. It’s 3:57. And I haven’t looked in the logs yet. Nor have I got the incubator out of the shed. Yes, the incubator is back in the shed. I put it there last I was here. I thought I was done with it. If the eggs are clear, perhaps I am. But I don’t know. And it’s late in the day to find out. And my clothes are still damp. And there’s more rain coming. And the air is cool. The eggs will quickly chill. And yada yada yada. And I was hoping to pick some elderberries. But can’t. And there’s an issue with the grill – two screws must be replaced and won’t be before I leave. But as I’ve little to do I’ll yada a little more. There is paper cut for the three cages in the back. You, Jen, need to let me come back Monday afternoon long enough to collect any eggs. Or, not. But it’s pouring now. And I can’t think how I’ll get them. And the incubator.

Have you all heard of RedBox. Mary Jane Natishyn says she’s started renting her videos from there … she found one in front of a 7-11. Check it out at redbox.com
