Subtitles
Posted in Jennifer | No Comments »JT: It’s late. Blogging with Ellen’s worn me out! It was so slow, and mellow, when I was blogging all by myself. There was time to add pictures, and music, and links to distant websites, and above all – correct my spelling. But now! Wow. I’d no idea it would be as fast and as furious as it was tonight.
Ah, well, the title of the blog is where I’ll start – wordsworth. Last minute, honest. Good, you know, but not something I thought alot about. I needed a new name that wasn’t about my experience. I needed a new name that was about what I hoped we would experience. And that isn’t in the title – it’s in the subtitle.
Share – Accept.
What I’ve been reading says physical violence is a form of separation, one that comes long after emotional separation, recognized or not, has become routine.
So, that’s where I start, addressing you; it’s likely, there’s long been an emotional separation, noticed or not.
According to M.J. Natishyn, emotional separation is avoided, or repaired, with intimacy, something easily lost. And intimacy is sharing and accepting.
This, on the other hand, this entry to you, so much closer than you’ve been in months, is not intimate, it’s not a sharing. It’s a hiding, a hiding behind ideas, and references, a shield of knowledge, to protect all my soft spots, all at once.
Nervous?
I am.
